Sheena Tahilramani is a Partner at 7 Second Strategies. She specializes in media strategy and is responsible for developing media relations and communications plans for our clients.
Sheena has extensive experience working at the intersection of media and politics. Prior to forming 7 Second Strategies, she worked as chief of staff to Karl Rove. In addition to handling the day-to-day operations of Karl Rove & Company, she managed media relations for Karl Rove and developed a comprehensive digital strategy through which he was able to actively engage followers and promote his message and work via social media.
While at Karl Rove & Company, Sheena organized over 1,700 media interviews and has worked with numerous media outlets, including Fox News Channel, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, SkyNews, Sean Hannity Radio, Hugh Hewitt Radio, Forbes, TIME, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Los Angeles Times, amongst others. Sheena was also responsible for managing all facets of the national book tour (110 cities in 90 days) promoting Karl Rove’s memoir Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight and was an instrumental part of the team that executed the marketing plan which landed Courage and Consequence on the New York Times bestseller list.
Sheena was named to OC Metro magazine’s annual “Forty Under 40” list of Orange County up-and-comers in 2013. This year she was selected to participate in the Tory Burch Foundation Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program for early stage, women-owned businesses.
Sheena has a M.S. in Journalism from The Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University and a B.A. in Literary Journalism from the University of California, Irvine.
